Question by Reena M: What do you think is the most beneficial way of using a treadmill to lose belly fat?
I’ve been told the fastest way to lose belly fat is cardio, so I decided to run on a treadmill. I’m just wondering what is the proper way? Do you just get on and run for as long as you can? Do you start with a walk and slowly work up to a run? Do you walk, then run, then walk, then run? What do you think is the most beneficial way of using a treadmill to lose belly fat?

Do it however is comfortable for you to get your heart going. Start slow and work your way up so you don’t get worn out and discouraged.

@poetias Hi ! Are you a girl??? well, let me tell you I started right away cuz I told to my girlfriend that I would be able to lose weight in less than 3 months, and guess what??? IT DOES WORK!!!!!!! I used to weight 220lbs. now I am 200lbs. in about one month, it depends in your body but also in your discipline… REMEMBER THAT LOSING WEIGHT TAKES TIME, YOU HAVE TO BE DISCIPLINED.

You can’t target one part of the body to lose weight. When cardio is done, it burns fat all over the body. My dad’s been an amateur body builder since his 20s, and he knows his cardio. Running/Jogging about 30/45 mins a day at least 3 times a week is good, but if you really want to lose the weight, just take 1 day off per week. Eat healthy, smaller & more frequent portions, and plenty of proper rest is how to lose it. Lean meats, good fiber, no cane sugar.
You better once, run 30 min. because the first 20 minutes you lose your carbohydrates and after 20 minutes, your body will burn body fat. Rest is also very important for your body. So try to run 3 or 4 times a week. But you also have to have a good healthy diet. a good diet is more important than jogging. If you eat everthing that je want than you wil grow. haha. Eat lots of protein, especially after training and get the daily carbohydrate from fruit, potatoes or rice. than you will lose weight
im 16 yrs old im 1.76m i weight 81kilos my body type is endomorph and mesomorph…in how long would i lose belly fat…:S
@ryan93280 to be quite honest… all you should do is do at 1.5k run EVERY day, hit the gym and lift weights to help strenghen the core.. then do crunches and sit ups when you can.. thats it….

nice workout im male as well i got most of the fat gone but the stomach is the hardest honestly if i can get rid of it then my 6 pac wpuld most likely to be there lol. but im going to do this program how long do u reccomend i should do it

brillaint video great tips will use, thanks, some of these exercises can be done with an ankle weight for even more resistance, only thing is the music, could of chosen something else!

Cardio is only part of the answer. You need to diet…low carbs to lose fat, and weight train (along with doing crunches the correct way) to keep up the metabolism. Spot reducing is a myth. The only way to lose belly fat is to lose fat period.
I agree with Jim J. that diet is important, but don’t fall into the low carb myth. A balanced diet with a reduction in total calories is needed to aid weight loss but you didn’t ask about diet, so the best way to use the treadmill is to get your heart rate to 120-160% of your maximum and keep it there! 30-60 minutes 3-4 times a week will most likely give you results.
