Can this help me gain muscle and get a flat stomach?
Hiya! I’m a 13 year old boy and I have lost 90 lbs. The docs want me to stop losing and start to maintain. So I started eating junk and haven’t gain anything cause i’m more active now. But I want to build muscle and have decided to stop eating junk food. For breakfast I’m going to have fruit salad contain grapes, strawberries, and blueberries. Healthy? I exercise everyday I lift weights!
Run up and down your stairs for 30min a day, its the best work out you can get. Also what I did is do 500 sit ups for 2 weeks then go down to 100 a day.
you forgot one thing. YOGA dude!!!
eat a lot of pastas. thats good for muscle, as long as you stay active.
Some protein should complement your diet well. Remember that your young and by being young means you have a fast active metabolism, something that I’ve tried explain my brother over and over. He wants to gain weight, he’s pretty lean. Having a fast metabolism works against what your trying to achieve in terms of gaining weight.
yes your eating healthy…But if you want to build muscles your gonna have to have some more lean protien in your diet…try chicken or fish…your results will turn out better
thats not going to help you build muscle at all. eat the fruits and stuff through out the day but you need fats and proteins for breakfast and lunch so you get all the amino acids, protein, all that goodness that actually helps build muscle
Hmm you Sound cute lol. Any ways you could always eat something like ice cream and then work it off. Also you should run too its very fun and it bulks your legs up.
you need to eat more than freaking blueberries and grapes dude
Working out will help your muscle gain. Eating the fruit, while healthy and helping you with maintaining your muscles, is not very balanced. You should target foods high in protein AS WELL AS the fruit.
This would be lean chicken, beef, or seafood. Also eggs, spinach, broccoli, and nuts will be very helpful.
Seriously, boys don’t need to worry about having a flat stomach, unless you’re really obese. You don’t need to be super muscular at age 13, either. Just keep on exercising and eat in moderation (not necessarily fruit and vegetables at every meal).
hey Austin,
Sounds like you have made a better choice is stopping the junk food and working out. hit the weights 3-4 days a week, do your exercises in the range of 10-14 reps, 3-4 sets a piece. I also take a protein shake after my workouts, protein is great fuel for the body and muscles, I have seen some nice muscle tone since adding it to my diet. Don’t forget, muscle is heavy so it will help you gain weight, also, take your shake within 30 min of working out for best results.
I get my stuff from the link below, they have a forum page with some good recipes and discussions on working out. I think their choc flavor is the best.
