Do you have to have a flat stomach to be fit?
I dance and jog every day, and eat a really healthy diet. Most of my body is pretty muscular but I still have the typical pooch belly and it makes me wonder if I’m just not "in shape." All the fitness women I see on TV have flat stomachs so I am not sure if it is just touch ups on TV or if fit people have flat stomachs.
Your fitness is not determined by the flatness of your stomach; it’s all about your physical ability. Lots of people with flat stomachs are not fit, and there are some hugely fat people who could be considered at least moderately fit. (Don’t believe me? Look at sumo wrestlers; they’re fat, but they’re also very strong.) It has nothing to do with how you look.
