Actually, if you diet and exercise, you should just lose belly fat. That is the stuff that disappears first–and why you see people complaining about keeping their hips and thighs bigger.

I have to do a little bragging today. I ballooned after getting married in Aug of 07. Up to 230-235lbs (I’m 6ft even, so my "ideal weight" is around 185, but I’ve always been a bit over my ideal weight). These are totally my "fat pants" that I got last year when my old pants weren’t fitting right.
As you can see, I’ve lost a bit of weight recently. I can definitely tell in my belly (look at my belly; isn’t it cute that it’s smaller!.) Today I weighed, drum roll, 210lb! On my way down! Yay! I do think the weight is pretty well proportioned; I am lucky that way (I think that’s why a lot of people tell me I don’t look fat, though I for sure am).
BTW, I’ve just been doing portion size control, one red meat a week (the rest seafood, chicken or vegetarian), one dessert a week (if that), no snacking (unless it’s on veggies), and no soda at all (just water, coffee, tea, beer and wine).
Time for these pants to go away! Yay!

I have done several Ellen Barret’s fitness dvds and this one has not disappointed me at all. It is easy to follow and I assure you will fell your abs working quite hard.

I won’t say it is the best ab workout I have ever had but it is a great maintenance routine. The host is adorable and fun to watch.
Its not possible to lose weight in only one part of your body, but if you’re right for your height and bone structure, ur hips and butt should always be there because thats your boddy type. they may get SLIGHTLY smaller, but they will still be there.
You have choices but they all boil down to reducing your calories and increasing your activity.
If you’re burning more than you’re consuming you’ll lose weight. How you get there is entirely up to you.
Do you plan to keep it off or are you just needing to lose it for a special occasion that’s coming up?
