Flat stomach?
So if I do 30 min of cardio everyday could I get a flat stomach in about a month? Do I need to do more?
I’m going to cut soda out of my diet (I hardly drink it anyway).
Is there anything else I need to do to be successful? Please help me and thanks for the answers ![]()
Cardio is supposed to be the absolute best way to lose weight, but if you want to target a specific area of your body such as your stomach, you may want to do both cardio and crunches/situps. You may want do them laying weight bench with your feet on the floor instead of being completely on the floor so you do not hurt you back.
Try not to overdo it. It’s best to give your body time to rest, so
you may want to try doing the crunches/situps three times a week instead of every day, though you could probably do light cardio every day. Daily, brisk walking is an excellent and safe form of cardio. A lot of people like to jog, but jogging can be very tough on your knees as you get older.
You might also consider calling a gym or health spa and asking the person who answers the phone for friendly
advice, as I am no expert and they would know better than
I do.
It’s one of the most difficult areas to get rid of. I doubt it will be gone in a month.. because the body burns fat from all over the body and not just in one place…
a strict diet and exercise should do it..but it will take time.
Crunches will only tone it.. but if you have fat there, it won’t do much.
LOTS OF WATER.
fruits, veggies, less carbs, less fatty meats.
eat in the morning to get your metabolism going.
instead of 3 big meals, 6 small ones(pieces of fruit or yogurt)
JUST cardio won’t get your stomach flat. Do crunches(front and side) and planks (front and side-for obliques).
Always remind yourself to have good posture, it’ll help you to appear flatter while your working on it
It depends on what your body shape is like to start with. If you naturally gain more weight on your stomach area, then it will be harder for you to get rid of it than if you’re a pear shape who gains more weight on the bum & thighs.
Heaps of cardio is a great idea (start gradually though!), but one really, really good piece of advice I can give you is to include resistance training maybe twice a week. What this will do is make you gain a bit of muscle, and muscle is a really efficient energy burner – this means that when you do your cardio, you will end up burning more calories. Make sure you get some advice from a qualified trainer though.
Also try not to be too strict on your diet – if you cut out everything that you enjoy eating, then one day you’ll snap and eat a mountain of chocolate or something. so let yourself have a treat every now & then.
Eat lots of fruits & veg, drink lots of water, always have breakfast, cut down on fatty foods, eat smaller portions… and DON’T starve yourself…
Good luck!!!!!
