how can i get a flatter stomach?
i want to know how i can get a more flatter stomach, like with less "fat" on it…i have pretty solid abs underneath and i know how to work to get those even better, but theres no use if theres fat covering them..ideas please?!!? THANKS SOO MUCh
Hi, the problem with fat is that you cannot target a specific area of the body on which you want to lose it. For example if you are told that situps will get rid of the fat on your tummy, this is wrong. What it will do however, is work the muscles underneath so that you have ‘solid abs’ waiting to be discovered!
In order to burn fat you need to consume less calories than you burn. One pound of fat is equal to 3500 calories, therefore in order to lose one pound in fat mass per week you have to eat less or burn an extra 500 calories per day.
Cardio with some light weight/resistance training is a good way to go. My preference is body combat at the gym…in an hour session I tend to burn 600-800 calories.
Keep at it and don’t get frustrated if it comes off your stomach last, it’s sod’s law that the fat comes off last where you want it to come off first!
Bit of a brief answer on the mechanics of fat loss, but if through eating healthily and exercising you are struggling to shift the fat then your best bet is to go see your doctor for some expert help.

To lose fat you must consume fewer calories than you use. The way to do this is to eat a healthy, balanced, low cal diet and get plenty of vigorus exercise. If you do this you WILL lose fat, gain health and fitness. However, most people can’t do this.
EDIT: Fasting and other highly restrictive diets can be dangerous, unhealthy and usless. As soon as you stop fasting you put weight on anyway. And it puts a tremendous strain on your heart.
Exercise alone will not accomplish noticable weight loss, a good diet is 3/4 of the battle.
Eat lots of vegetables and fruits. And do a lot of crunches and sit ups.100 each day for about 1 month or a couple of weeks.
Cardio, plain and simple.
