How do I lose the belly fat that i have on the lower part of my body?
so since freshmen year to senior yr of hs i’ve gone from 180lbs to 135lbs but for some reason i can never fully lose the belly fat on the lower part of my stomach. i really want a completely flat stomach. also does anyone know any exercises to make the pectoral muscles stronger?
Try the lil jack workout http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TKCGe2Ezris it really works
1. your pectoral muscles are in your chest.
2. you can’t isolate fat loss. Fat loss happens from your whole body, you can’t just pick and choose from where to lose fat.
Just get running, I don’t know any runners with belly fat! After your run do sit ups. Or join a gym and get a programme catered for this.
pillz…do it old school work out
sit on a chair, lean back a little bit were your @ss will be more to the edge of the chair, have your knees touching, then slowly lift them up towards the ceiling. you can do this while watching t-v. take a break when you want, then continue.
you can sit on your sofa and do it also, it helps more to put your hands behind your head gripping the back of the sofa. (i like that one better)
this exercise works your lower abs.
i found when i tried to do it lying on the floor, i did my back in. when on the chair, it iscolates your back from your abs. then when you learn to strengthen your abs you can do it on the floor
People are completely right when they say you can’t lose weight in just one place, but I made a discovery for my self and I only tell you this because my shape is similar to yours. When I walk and diet to lose weight I lose weight mostly on my upper body but when I run as a means of exercise I lose weight from my lower body too. So I would recommend running/jogging combined with pilates which is excellent for toning up the muscles in your core.
spot reduction is almost impossible. there is no one exercise that you can do to flatten your stomach or shrink your hips, butt, back, legs or arms. you must do total body movements like the squat, deadlift or even push-ups.
these exercises GREAT for Men & Women and are NOT going to "bulk you up". they will actually help you build lean muscle tissue and this will help you burn fat!
I would suggest supersetting or interval training. it combines strength training(for building lean muscle tissue) and cardio(for fat burning). you don’t need any fancy equipment or an expensive gym membership.
example: squats, push-ups, pull-ups, mountain climbers(if you can’t do a push-up or pull-up=> use dumbbells or resistance bands & do a pushing exercise and a pulling exercise instead). do 15 reps of each back to back to back to back without resting. that equals 1 set. rest 30-60 secs. repeat. do 3-5 complete sets. Do this 3-4x/week.
If you noticed there are no sit-ups or crunches in this workout(I personally think sit-ups & crunches are a waste of time). the best way to burn fat and tighten up your midsection & core is through total body exercises!
these are very fast and effective workouts that won’t have you spending hours in the gym!
good luck!
Hi Punit,
You can try exercising the muscles under those fatty tissues. Try sit ups in a different angle that will make those muscles harden. You can tell if you’re hitting the right muscles if you can feel them tense up during the scrunch.
