How long does it take to get a flat tummy if…?
I run 2 miles a day and do 200 sit ups a day. I really want a flat tummy before we start school. Im eating fruits and snacking on gronola and stuff. Any idea how long it will take me to get the flat stomach? Please help! Thanks!
No one can tell you whether this will work. There are too many factors missing.
How much weight you need to lose?
How much fat is on your stomach?
What is the metabolic state of your body currently?
How long before you go back to school?
200 sit ups a day will have an impact on your body whether it is just to fatigue you. Try splitting up those sittups throughout the day.
Give yourself some time before you go back to school to actually get a flat stomach. Say a few more weeks to a few more months…Don’t expect too much too soon. Realistic goal setting need to be set. And please don’t STARVE YOURSELF!!!
Good luck to achieving your FLAT TUMMY!! I would like one of those 6 packs myself….but if not that….just a nice flat feminine looking tummy.
I did a bit of research on this topic a while ago. This is what I remember. In order to get a flat tummy and/or six pack you need to shed the fat from your stomach. You can have the strongest abs in the world, but if you have fat in your stomach you won’t be able to see them. If I remember correctly, you need around 6-8% body fat in order to see a six pack. But if you just want a flat then just burning more calories than you intake would probably work. So basically lot of physical activities(running, weights, exercise) and lots of healthy eating.
Good luck.
well i am 13 and i flat a tummy.i am doing 6 differnt crunches and on the eliptical for 30 burning 300 calories. and i’m geting a flat stomic after awhile.
no one can tell u how fast it will take you becuse every body matabulisem is differnet i would keep tring and u will get a flat stomic
The flat tummy comes from eliminating the fat riding on top of the abs… that comes from dieting and cardio. The sit ups will work your abs, but if you have fat on top of them, situps don’t do a thing for the fat.
Keep doing the running, and keep up with a good diet… stay away from anything with sugars (simple carbs) eat good quality complex carbs and lean protein.
Just remember, it takes a lot of work. To get the waist/abs of a fitness model your body fat has to be a good ways below what is normal. It doesn’t happen easy, or fast.
A flat tummy is dictated mainly by two factors: body fat and genetics. If you’re looking to develop your abdominal muscles, crunches are better than situps. Situps, once you go above 35-45 degrees, aren’t stressing the abs and become an exercise for your hip flexor muscles. Do crunches.
Second, you want to burn fat? Don’t run. Walk briskly. Your fat burning range is determined using the following formula: Take the number 220 and subtract your age. Then take that number and multiply it by .65 and .75. Keep your heart rate in the fat-burning range there, and make sure you exercise on an empty stomach. If you have food in your system your body will burn that for energy instead of your fat. If your heart rate goes too high you’ll cross over into burning carbs and protein for energy and that won’t help you reach your goal.
Also, try to eliminate sugar and saturated fats from your diet. Those get converted to fat very easily.
ya im like 6 years old and i was pretty fat so i started to starve myself for like 3 months and i 2 hours a day and basketball 2 hours a day so i got a flat stomach quick
…..so try starving yourself
