It depends on your starting weight and condition. For me, I am petite so I have a hard time losing weight and each pound shows up whether its a gain or loss- back when I WAS losing last year, I lost about 4-5 lbs a month, going from 120 in Sept of 2006 to 105 in December of 2006 and that was "healthy" persay but taller more overweught people can lose more pounds quicker since they HAVE more to lose. As for me right now, I am STUCK at 112 and I HATE it. I wish I was thin again and now my body wont let a pound go. no matter what!
first week 8 lbs. next 3 weeks 2 lbs. a week for a total of 14lbs.
does that sound good?
Don’t loose too much at once, can cause health problems. Slow and steady wins the race.
Good luck!
It’s hard to predict how much weight you will lose in a certain amount of time. If you want to tone up in a month you will probably need to exercise more then 1 hour a day, and you should drink lots of water because water can help burn calories. Also eat more fruit and avoid your cravings for junk.
I can’t tell you exactly how much weight you will lose, because everyone’s body is different, and reacts to diet/exercise changes in different ways. I will tell you though, that you shouldn’t plan to lose more than 2-3lbs per week, or 8-12 lbs a month. That’s a healthy amount to lose in those time frames.
Also…try to eat more meals, only smaller throughout the day if you can. You will find you’ll be less hungry throughout the day. Eating 3 regular meals a day can cause you to become very hungry between meals, and therefore gorging at the next meal.
You could also try doing some other things at home to help you get toned – things like crunches/situps, pushups, etc.
Well you should not lose more thatn 2 pounds per week, although at first you may lose faster (this is usually just water weight). It also depends what you eat at those 3 meals, it’s all about how many calories you eat versus how many you burn. Keep track of the calories you eat. It depends on your starting weight as well if you weigh a lot you can lose more eating less than someone who weighs less. Example if you weigh 150 pounds you can eat about 1500 calories a day and lose weight, if you weigh 200 pounds and also eat 1500 calories a day you will lose more faster than the 150 pound person. Got me? A good rule of thumb is eat 10x your current weight in calories to lose weight. A little more if you are very active.
Do you watch Biggest Loser? It’s possible to lose 30lbs in a month and be healthy but it’s really hard. They work out 4-6 hours a day. I lost 20lbs in one month. I ate really healthy and I walked 2-4 miles a day. Swimming is great exercise and you seem to be eating enough. I’m sure you will see a big difference but you have to stay focused and work really hard. Everyone is different so it’s hard to say exactly how much you will lose but you will probably lose anywhere from 10 to 15 lbs. Good luck.
You want to lose fat weight and not burn muscle so 2-3 lbs at the most per week. 2 lbs a week is 8 and 3 lbs is 12…10 is a nice even number, the first two weeks lose 3=6 and then next 2 each, which would equal 10. if this is the first time losing weight you can do a detox plan which close get you to lose a poud a day or something. look into that.
10 is good
