How to Lose Belly fat? Do Ab Loungers work?
We eat pretty good at home, but he snacks too much & eats too much fast food at work. He doesnt have many options for a healthy lunch
My husband is really tall with a huge frame a very large chest & arms which are tone. His belly is too round & his butt & thighs are HUGE, even when he was skinny he always had a huge butt (runs in the family lol)
What would be the best way for him to tighten his belly & possibly loose the butt.
Me on the other hand, am very tiny, but still have a bit of a pouchy belly from my 3 yr old & 1 yr old. So I told him we would start working out together.
Do the Ab lounger things work?
dont waste your $ on any infomercial gadget. spot reduction is almost impossible. there is no one exercise that you can do to flatten your stomach or shrink your hips, butt, back, legs or arms. you must do total body movements like the squat, deadlift or even push-ups.
these exercises GREAT for Men & Women and are NOT going to "bulk you up". they will actually help you build lean muscle tissue and this will help you burn fat!
I would suggest supersetting or interval training. it combines strength training(for building lean muscle tissue) and cardio(for fat burning). you don’t need any fancy equipment or an expensive gym membership.
example: squats, push-ups, pull-ups, mountain climbers(if you can’t do a push-up or pull-up=> use dumbbells or resistance bands & do a pushing exercise and a pulling exercise instead). do 15 reps of each back to back to back to back without resting. that equals 1 set. rest 30-60 secs. repeat. do 3-5 complete sets. Do this 3-4x/week.
If you noticed there are no sit-ups or crunches in this workout(I personally think sit-ups & crunches are a waste of time). the best way to burn fat and tighten up your midsection & core is through total body exercises!
these are very fast and effective workouts that won’t have you spending hours in the gym!
good luck!
Try the lil jack workout http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TKCGe2Ezris it really work
I think he needs to cut out the fast food. Maybe he needs a packed lunch. I think a good cardio workout with the weights, sit ups should work really well.
There is a ton of hype on the web about losing belly fat. I’ve had two different of those ab gym things. One broke right away and the other one hurt my back. I found this expert on losing belly fat http://www.tight-abs.info on the web.
Worth a look. Good luck
