I need to loose stomach fat, but despite weight training 3days and 3days of aerobics I cant. Please help?
Weight training consists of 12-14 exercises in 2 circuits with 20 reps. Aerobic is usually treadmill/swimming/or eliptical for 30min -1hr twice a week and then 2 hrs of soccer on the weekend. Thanks
All that exercise is great. You should also modify your diet….
Check you diet. People tend to think that because they work out often, that they can eat anything they want.
Stay away from fried, salty, cheesy, smothered, sugary, starchy foods. But do treat yourself once a month, just don’t over do it.
Oh, and no sodas ever, diet or otherwise! Drink water, green teas (diet) or hot brewed.
Eat more fruits and veggies, strive for 9 a day.
Make sure that you get plenty of lean protein; Grilled Chicken, fish, turkey.
Easy uh? Welcome to my world.
Perhaps you need to change your diet as well.
Remember that the stomach/abdominal region is the first place in males that fat is deposited, and so it is going to be the last place that fat goes away from. Your program seems pretty good, you could possibly include a bit more cardio during the week away from exercise machines (like running outside) or something like that, otherwise its pretty good.
One idea, depending on your situation and what you work out for, could be to change the weight lifting schedule. If you change it to a schedule to increase muscle mass more than endurance, then you will be able to burn more energy at rest and this may help.
Otherwise the only problem I could see may be your diet if this is poor.
it takes a lot longer then 3-6 days. Also try eating according to the weight watchers plan. It’s the safest way to loose weight. If you loose it fast it’s not healthy.
Variety of exercise is the key I have found. For example..an exercise called Mountain Climbers. Its from a workout that also contains a section for females and males which is excellent.
Mountain climbers are done by starting in a pushup position
and then shuffling your feet in and out so that your knees are
moving in under your chest and then back out to starting
position. It sort of resembles climbing a mountain but flat on
the floor. If you want an advanced version, you can also shuffle your hands 8-10 inches forward and backward in
addition to the leg movements. This really makes it a full
body exercise and MUCH more difficult than standard mountain climbers.
After finishing each exercise, rest about 30 seconds before
starting the next exercise. Rest about 1-2 minutes after
completing each "tri-set" before repeating.
This will give you one of the best ab workouts you’ve ever had
without even doing any direct ab exercises. You’ll see what I
mean after you try it!
Once you get away from the myth that a 1000 crunches and 500 situps a day is all you need to do for great abs, then amazing results can be seen.
There is a completely free 65 page ebook about exercise, nutrition, abs and stomaches in particular at http://www.stayprotected.com that you can download (no catch!) and it is excellent.
It helped me greatly.
