Possible to lose belly fat and gain muscle mass in arms?
I’m normally a skinny guy as most people say, though i have a belly. I was wondering if it was possible to lose my belly fat for abs but at the same time gain muscle mass in my arms. If it is, how long would i have to exercise until i see some changes if i stay to a set schedule?
Do some cardio (eg running or cross trainer) for the belly. fat .And do some basic mass building exercises for the arms..for example- Triceps (Close grip press, skull crushes) and Biceps (Barbell curl, incline dumbbell curls), make sure you do both, remember triceps make up the majority of the arm size.Train to failure- 6-8 reps for 4 sets is for size.
Don’t just train your arms, do other body parts but keep it simple to begin with maybe only one exercise per body part like Bench press for chest and Military for shoulders to start with and aswell as this and the cardio keep working on your abs.
If your a beginner you will see good gains in 2-3 months if you train properly and eat the right food.(Try to eat every 2-3 hours small meals high in protein and moderate carbs.
Remember never train the same muscle group 2 days in a row as they are growing/repairing themselves when your not training them!
All the best
To have a 6 pack you would easily need couple of months (that goes for the arms too) and you would need to rigorously exercise 4 days a week.
Do some research on this website: http://www.bodybuilding.com. It is not just for "body builders", but for those who want to get in shape. What are you trying to do is burn fat AND gain muscle. To do both simultaneously is very difficult. Why? Because burning fat requires a calorie DEFICIT (meaning you burn more than you take in) and building muscle requires a calorie SURPLUS. To do what you want, you need to do one or the other. If you are skinny, I wouldn’t recommend burning any fat. This is known as cutting. I would recommend adding muscle, and once you add some muscle, you can then "cut" and you will burn that remaining fat. Like I said, check out the website, it has tons of info and great forums.
