Trying to get a flat stomach?
I am 5 foot 2 and weigh 116 pounds. I would like to get a flat stomach, great abs and toned butt and thighs.
I usually exercise on the elliptical 60 min. 5x/wk in the morning at 7 and/or 9 am. I do weight training about 30 min., toning butt/thighs/belly 30 min, and ab exercises 30 min. all 3x week. Is my exercise routine okay?
I am trying to eat mini meals. For ex: Here is what I am having today: breakfast- 1 cup cereal with low fat milk and fat free cocoa, Lunch- 1/2 sandwich with 1 tbsp pb and romaine lettuce, Afternoon snack- fruit, and Dinner- 3 oz. chicken and green veggies. I was told if I wanted to get a flat stomach to do a high protein/low carb diet which means less rice, fruit, starchy veggies etc. So am I doing it right?
Also most Tues and Thurs I don’t have time to do cardio for an hour. How much should I exercise on these days? I usually do it for 40 min. when on the elliptical. and I was wondering how much to eat that day. still 4-5 mini meals?
Actually, I have trouble doing cardio for an hour on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. NOT Tues and Thurs
ok so you want a flat tummy huh. eating smaller meals helps but you have to make sure they are balanced. For bfast try a little more carbs this help reduce hunger during the day. Fat free foods suck because what the companys do is take out the parts in the food that help it breakdown so it turn you can gain more weight. Low fat is the better way to go. ALSO LISTEN I know this may sound funny but most people carry 2 to 10 lbs of extra weight in their intestines. From waste build up. Try a collen cleanse. I know yucky but that flatens stomaches a lot. Eating a lot of small meals is great for your body like 4-5 or even 5 -6.
For a toned body cardio does not as much as lifting weights. For your butt do lots of squats and leg weight excersizes. I do squats 6 days a week and see amazing results. I squat 250 lbs on the smith machine. 3 reps of 15 to 25. Hard work but OMG my butt is great now. Working out at least 3 to 4 times a week is good. And for at least 30 min to 1 hr
So good luck
