Will cardio and my normal meals make me lose belly fat?
I run 2 miles on my treadmill every other day but I eat my 3 main meals and I eat whatever will I still lose belly fat or do I need some sort of diet. If so what would you recommend. Keep in mind that I am skinny everywhere except my jelly belly.
On top of your running, you might want to consider starting a ‘food intake journal’.
I think you will be very surprised if before you start your diet you keep a journal of what you eat and at what times. Do this for about a week. Then study your journal and see where you can cut back and find out at what times are you eating that could cause problems. If you find you are having a snack at 10 pm at night. Try bringing the time time in. You never what to eat to soon before you go to bed.

Try eating 5 or 6 smaller meals a day instead of 3 big ones. This will keep your metabolism up all day which will keep your body burning fat. Also try to start lifting weights. A lot of girls don’t want to because they fear looking manly, but if you keep the weights fairly low and the reps high, you’ll gain definition, which definitely looks good. You don’t necessarily need a strict diet if you only want to lose a little, but try to keep your food relatively healthy. Don’t listen to Jason’s suggestion of cutting down your calorie intake by 1000. 500 might be OK depending on where you are now, but assuming you’re around the 1500 to 2000 mark, dropping 1000 calories will starve you.
It all depends on your metabolism. If you have good and high metabolism, you’ll lose quite a bit. If it’s at a normal rate you have a small chance of loseing just a little. If you want to lose ALOT of weight, you’ll have to cut down on calories by 500-1000 calories a day. Drink pleanty of water and make sure you still eat enough to give you energy.
